Mole Pest Control
Natures Way offers a comprehensive range of mole pest control services, including mole removal, to clients in Suffolk and Essex. Our mole eradication service is fast and effective, ensuring minimal disruption while removing moles from your home or business.
With an increasing number of callouts for mole pest control in Suffolk and Essex, many are struggling to rid their gardens of these pests. The mole population in Britain is on the rise, estimated at around 40 million. This increase is partly due to the 2006 ban on strychnine, a once-common mole control method, and the restrictions during the foot and mouth disease outbreak, which limited pest control efforts. Consequently, moles are now appearing in gardens, fields, and parklands, as well as unexpected areas like grass verges, football pitches, and bowling greens.
Our mole control service is discreet and confidential; if needed, we can arrive in unmarked vehicles. We offer guaranteed services and emergency same-day appointments.

About Moles
The European Mole (Talpa europea) is the sole species affecting lawns and grasslands in the British Isles. While they appear completely black, their fur actually ranges from black to grey and silver shades. Contrary to popular belief, moles are not blind; their small eyes can differentiate between light and dark. Their acute hearing helps detect predators and other moles. Moles possess a keen sense of smell and have scent glands used for marking territory, which helps identify sex during breeding season. They are territorial, remain active year-round, and feed on insects and worms.
Moles have sensory hairs on their short tails, around their chin, face, and back of the ears. These sensory organs serve as a radar for detecting food and threats, with the tail brushing tunnel walls to pick up vibrations.
Moles are solitary mammals, sharing main runs but fiercely defending their territories. When a territory is vacated, it is quickly occupied by another mole.

Mole CONTROL
Mole Removal
Mole digging can severely damage lawns and plant root systems, creating unsightly holes and undermining grasslands and paddocks, posing risks to horses and livestock. Catching moles is challenging, as they retreat rapidly when sensing vibrations or unfamiliar smells, blocking tunnels as they go.
Due to these challenges, mole prevention is not a DIY task. While garden centre traps are available, they often lack effectiveness. Instead, it’s best to call in experts like Natures Way for swift and efficient treatment to prevent mole infestations. Our typical control method involves special tunnel traps, and when necessary, we can also use Phosphine, a toxic gas.
