Professional Insect Control
There are a wide range of different insects that can potentially invade your home and cause a nuisance. From ants in your cupboards to bed bugs overstaying their welcome, we aim to remove these pests from your home/business and restore some peace back to your day.
Bed Bugs (Cimex lectularius)
These are small blood-sucking insects that live in and around your bed. Because their bodies are flat, bedbugs can squeeze into the smallest crevice or crack, such as a mattress seam or the joints of a bed frame. This can make them very difficult to spot. Attracted by body heat and carbon dioxide in your breath they emerge from there harborage to feed, leaving itchy red bumps.Treatment takes around 1 hour and an exclusion time of around 4 hours & would generally be in two parts.
Fleas
The most common species of Flea is the Cat Flea, known for readily biting humans, especially if the property has been left void for a short period of time. Adult fleas are small (averages 2mm in size) wingless insects, with flattened and red-brown, with backwardly directed spines and legs designed for jumping.
Treatments are effective with a four-hour exclusion.
All pets should be treated with an appropriate flea treatment.
Ants
We have a few pest species of ants here in the UK the commonest being the black or garden ant which can be a nuisance indoors in the summer months. We also have infestations of pharaohs ants & ghost ants (very tiny ants 1.5mm) which tend only to invade tower blocks, hospitals etc using heating ducts to travel throughout the block.
Cockroach
With over 3000 different species of cockroach there are only two considered to be a pest within the UK. distinguished by their long whip like antennae. The adult German Cockroach is a light yellowy/brown and is 10 to 15mm long. The Oriental Cockroach is dark brown/black and is 20 to 24mm long. Immature stages of Cockroach, look exactly like adults, just on a smaller scale. Not only are cockroaches very unpleasant visitors but they are associated with various diseases. Very adaptable creatures that tend to invade hospitals, bakeries, hotels and restaurant kitchens, and blocks of flats. They cluster around pipes, ovens, fridges, and sinks, especially in humid areas, and will often remain hidden during the day.
